The Matilda's were proven by the Super Falcons to be tigers only on paper, as goals by Uchenna Kanu 45', Osinachi Ohale 66' and Asisat Oshoala 72' pushed Nigeria to the top spot in the Group B.

"What an embarrassing game. Plenty of opportunities early but the finishes continue to be lousy. The passing, if it’s not lousy, is aimless," Robert Moylan said.
