The Zimbabwe Mighty Warriors were in camp for TWO MONTHS before they went to the Rio Summer Olympics in 2016.

Sisi Anna who was employed at ZIFA Village as a chef would cook sadza in a big black pot and Matemba in another early in the morning . The food would be put on a bus with the national team to Prince Edward School in Harare from Zifa Village which was an approximately 18km distance that took a little over 30minutes.

The bus would be parked at Prince Edward School whilst the girls trained. Lunchtime was at 1pm, the national team players would line up outside the bus with plastic containers in their hands. The cold sadza and Matemba was dished into the containers and they would have their lunch and continue with their training. When they were at ZIFA village it was the same food with beans or pumpkin leaves.Such was the life of the national team players on national duty. They were not treated well by the then ZIFA administration. It is my humble submission to the Zifa president Mr Nqobile Magwizi make amends and help these girls to be compensated their camping allowances for the work they put in for their country.
